How Much Does He Love Me?

Posted under Will 1 Comment

He loves me enough to make me potato chips after the kids are asleep most nights.  He knows I don’t share well.  Will washes, chops, fries and seasons them especially for me.  Will has mastered that science!  In so much that the thin, slices of heaven sit perfectly on my tongue.  They make the most light and gentle, crunchy-crispy sound when I eat them. Some how he manages to keep them from getting heavy and greasy.  Making my taste buds dance and sing, I can’t bear to eat more than one at a time so I can savor the whole experience.  Now that’s some yummy love!

A Camping We Will Go

Posted under Annie, Will No Comments

Annie and Will enjoyed their first Father/Daughter camp out together.  I’m pretty sure the slumber party feel accompanied by the dancing, dressing up and doing of hair threw him through a bit of a loop.  But they loved it just the same!

One Year Older and Wiser Too

Posted under family, Food, Will 4 Comments

When Will asked what I wanted for my birthday this year, I told him a homemade cake from him and a love letter.  I got both!  Just look at that cake.  Honestly, it’s ugly as all get out, but WOW did it make my tastebuds dance and after sharing a piece each with my family; finished the rest for breakfast, lunch and dinner the next day.

Don’t!…Sniff Your Nose!!!

Posted under Annie, Will 1 Comment

Annie loudly speaking with me sitting a foot away.

Annie Hey Daddy.  You need to go get the colors so we can make mommy a rainbow cake.  We can put it in the oven and pull it out in 5 days.

Will whispering with me still a foot away.

Will  We can’t make a cake right now, Mommy will know.  You don’t want to leave the cake in the oven for 5 days either.

Annie Hey Mommy, go hide in the bathroom and don’t come out.  We are going to make you a rainbow cake, okay?

Me  What?!

Will stifling laughter

Will Annie, the bathroom is no good.  She will be able to smell the cake baking.  Plus, you aren’t supposed to tell her what you are doing.  It should be a surprise.

Annie  Hey Mommy, go hide in the garage and don’t sniff your nose, okay?
