If I Only Had a Brain

Sorry, I’m a sucker for awesomeness, even it is hokey out the wazoo.  I’m a teacher, hokey is what I do!  Hudson’s school had a Science Night and they had Man vs. Beast.  The kids had so much fun.  They only made it to one building and came home with loads of stuff in their bag, not to mention the stuff they learned and those super awesome hats.  Let’s be honest, who doesn’t need an unusually large set of teeth labeled?!

ABCs…Baby You and Me!

Remember that icy road in Denver with my brother post, way back in January?  He was telling me about President Monson’s ABCs talk during our snowy escapade.  My brain got to whirring and I decided that I wanted our family to create our own ABCs this year of things we should be doing to live an abundant life.  So every Monday at the start of FHE we sit down and ask if anyone has thought of anything to add to our alphabet.  I think it is something we really needed.  We finally finished our ABC’s.

The Gingerbread Village

It took a village this year to make our tummies happy.  Now that the kids are getting older, they aren’t satisfied teaming up for competitions anymore.  This year we featured a house, a bakery, a chalet, a toy shop, and a gabled house. If I do say so myself, the kids managed to hold their own.
