Eclipse of the Belly
My sister, her family and my brother are all in town for the week. My brother-in-law, Shane was taking a picture of Annie and Colson and look what he caught on her shirt. We were apart of the craze of solar eclipse onlookers, even if we were all already jammied up. Thanks go to the reflection of his ipad for accidentally catching this one. Of course this picture was taking as everyone else was looking through the pinhole camera and Annie and Colson were, well, being Annie and Colson.

If I Only Had a Brain
Sorry, I’m a sucker for awesomeness, even it is hokey out the wazoo. I’m a teacher, hokey is what I do! Hudson’s school had a Science Night and they had Man vs. Beast. The kids had so much fun. They only made it to one building and came home with loads of stuff in their bag, not to mention the stuff they learned and those super awesome hats. Tippity Tap
Tip, tap, tippity, tap, tap. That is all I have heard for the last week during the day. Little Miss Annie has started up Ballet again at a new Dance Academy and we’re adding tap to the line-up. Oh how she loves all the spinning and twirling. We’re crossing our fingers that a little more poise and grace will come out of the experience. I think having a big brother and having lots of guy friends seem to bring out the rowdy in her. Regardless, I love her so very much!

Ride’em Cowboy!…or Cowgirl!
Annie Hey Mom, do you want to ride a bull?
Me No Annie.
Annie Why not?
Me Because it would buck me off, step on my ribs and my body and squish all my insides and then I would probably die.
Annie Oh, well Daddy could ride a bull.
Me Probably, Annie, probably.
Annie Hey Mom, why don’t you ride a sheep?
Me Well, they are fluffier.
Annie And it wouldn’t even bite you!
Me Of course, that is after all why I was so concerned about the bull. *grin*

What’s in a Name?
On our way to the beach over the Ski holiday.
Annie Well my name means, loving.
Hudson What does your name mean, Mom?
Me It means wealthy one.
Hudson What does wealthy mean?
Me Rich.
Hudson Oh, what does Dad’s name mean? Construction worker?
Me What?!
Hudson Well he knows how to make wet sand-dirt. He’s really good at that and he likes gears.
Me Nope, it means protector, but that was a good guess.
