You Are Now Authorized To Enter The Laboratory…

My little boy is 7!  I used to think people with 7 year-olds were so old and middle-aged.  I guess now I get to know what that feels like.  Either way, Hudson had a Science Party this year.

The kids were scanned at the door through retina scan technology to ensure they were not double agents or enemy spies.  After all, they were on a secret government mission for, International Mission Control- strictly speaking, The Green Files.  Once they successfully entered the laboratory, the experimenting commenced.

Fingerprinting was just an extra cautionary measure.

Bio-chemical Experimentation, Alien Division, Structural Analysis, Explosive Testing,  Oceanic Design, Experimental Formulas and Aerospace Division.  The kids did it all!

This was by far the easiest birthday I have ever done.

Side Note: I asked Hudson what he wanted for his birthday.  He said he didn’t know.  He told me, “I guess you could get me some Legos if you want to.”  I told him I could get him Legos or I could surprise him.  He said he didn’t care and I could just do whatever I wanted.

I love that this kid doesn’t care about the presents.  It’s the things you get to do and the people you get to be with that really matter on your birthday.  I love that he sees that.  His favorite part of his birthday was Running Club.  He just wanted to run on his birthday.

Looks like the party was a big hit – I love how you totally kept evrything in theme! (also I know what you mean about the moms of 7 year olds (or 11 year olds) – they are supposed to be way less young and cool than you and I are – hahahahaha
