My New Running Buddy

I find the absence of a running buddy makes me…well have no desire to run.

I run:  A. to fit into my clothes and B.  if I’m being chased by something bigger and scarier than me.  And no, I won’t be accepting any comments from the peanut gallery at this time.  Anyway,  I have had a fabulous running buddy since I have lived in San Diego, but due to my pregnancy with Gracie and now her(my running buddy) expecting as well, kind of derailed my fitness train.  I can testify that chasing that fitness train down with a newborn is less than desirable.  Embracing my new situation, I have built running into my morning routine.  Hudson has to get to school (unfortunately it’s only a mile there) so we walk to school and then I run home.  I will need to expand, but for now, it is enough when it’s coupled with soccer.  When I have all 3 kids hanging off the stroller it’s a little heavy doing those hills…baby steps, right?  I have the MudRun looming…

Side Note:  Clearly, she is less than thrilled about being my running buddy.

I know what you mean about being motivated by a buddy. I’m not a runner, even with a buddy…. But I do the walking thing. And seriously have to have a buddy to ever feel motivated.

We have GOT to figure out when we can make it work – I need some motivation, too – I’ll chase you for a while if you you’ll chase me :) I’m running with my neighbor on Saturday at 8:30 – that could get us started…
