Giveaway
So Will and Jessica gave me free reign for managing and advertising for their photography business, Frevophotos. After some deliberation I decided to take some liberties with my job and do a Giveaway. I never really have anything to offer and I’m not worried about numbers for my blog site so I have never been interested in doing a Giveaway.
But, my mailbox recently presented a stack of gift certificates to me for their business. I see them on occasion sitting so nicely on the shelf. So yesterday I thought to myself, I think I just want to give some away. So JUST FOR FUN, I’m giving Will and Jessica away in the form of one of the following: 1.) Family photo shoot, 2.) Engagement photo shoot, 3.) Child/Children photo shoot or 4.) High School Senior photo shoot. The gift certificate will include an hour long shoot accompanied by a CD of at least 10 digital proofs. Keep in mind that they shoot in the Greater San Diego area only. If you are out of town and want in on the deal you will either need to: 1. Grow wings and fly, 2. find an alternate way to get down here, 3.) take an hour or so to smile for the camera when you are out here on your next Disneyland trip.
Leave a comment on the blog and I’ll enter you into the drawing(up to one entry per person). Using a random number generator, I will pick a winner. Okay, okay so maybe your name will end up on a scrap of paper. That paper may just find itself going for a swim in an empty fishbowl. Ready…Set…May the longest name win…no just kidding…Go!

Ahoy, Matey!
We checked out the Maritime Museum while Heather and Joey were here. The kids were all about the pirate ship. There was even a 5th grade class on field trip that were getting put to work before they got to sleep over on it. From a teachers’ standpoint, that would have been just a bit too much excitement for me.
The kids loved all the ropes, nooks, crannies, knobs and buttons. This kid sized boat was in there and the kids enjoyed hoisting the flag, setting the sails and shooting little balls from the cannon.
Going through the submarine just reinforced the fact that I wasn’t made for them. They were cramping my style just a little bit. It just makes me all that more impressed with those Navy guys who can be out there for months and love it.
Will even found his place in the middle of it and seemed quite content!

Monkeying Around
Will’s sister, Heather and my brother-in-law Joey have been visiting with us the last few days. As a result, we have been out and about enjoying San Diego like always. My pregnancy brain arrived for the occasion and I managed to lose my debit card, license and then subsequently lock myself out of the house(with no car keys) with everyone in the car ready for the zoo. That aside, we did eventually make it to the zoo, having an enjoyable day strolling up and down all those great hills.
The kids enjoyed themselves as always with minimal whining. We even saw the newly changed Polar Bear Plunge.

Fearlessly Fiendish
Fearless – that is the best way to describe Annie. My little 3 year old has turned out to be quite the little roller coaster fiend. We thought she would be and today Annie confirmed our thoughts. Standing in at EXACTLY 40 inches, our little Annie enjoyed Space Mountain, Splash Mountain and Tower of Terror. She had her arms in the air and was hooting and hollering through them all. I was a little worried about the Tower of Terror, but as we exited our ears were meet with, “Again, again, again!”

When I say exactly, there are no dramatics involved. She was measured and remeasured at every ride. As a result, we had to start giving her pep talks before each measuring station because she didn’t like the workers trying to get her to stand up straight so she would slouch and curl up.
You may have gathered that we took a little family trip up to Disneyland for a few days and hallelujah! We don’t need anymore switch passes. Everyone is tall enough to ride and my kids love going on ALL of the rides. Talk about great quality, family time. We have to enjoy it while it lasts.
The second day we were there found us exploring places we don’t often venture…Toontown, the Tikki Room and the parade. We rode so many rides we started to become a little overloaded so we backed off a little bit and took everything a bit slower. Since Annie is big enough now, we didn’t have any built in downtime so we think it fizzled us just a bit.
We even stopped to hug and pose with characters…we NEVER do that!

Bobbing Along…
Will and I headed to La Jolla for our date this weekend. We had a little excursion sea kayaking…and we never capsized. We went to the La Jolla caves and enjoyed a little jaunt through the kelp forest and yes…I ate some – kelp that is. We also got to see the Seven Sisters and Sunny Jim‘s caves(This one has a cool story by the way and we may extend this part of our date at a later time). By the end we paddled around 3 miles. It was a nice little workout and I wasn’t fatigued at all. Will says it was due to the fact that he was paddling so much.
We saw a massive sea lion dismembering a white sea bass. The sea gulls were all about trying to get a piece. It was quite the scuttle. All I kept hearing in my head was, “Mine….mine…mine…mine.” Oh, Nemo! The tour guide said it was the biggest sea lion he had ever seen and after having us all paddle closer; informed us that should the sea lion choose, his bite was strong enough to easily rip my arm or leg from my body. Let’s just say I stopped paddling toward him at that point. It was relaxing and so fun to surf the waves back.
