Sock Monkeys!

I pulled a pair of pink stripped socks out of my drawer yesterday as I was trying to declutter my house. This was the conversation I had with myself:  I really like these stripped socks.   But you only wear them once a year on Valentine’s Day so you really could do without them.   Is there a way I could keep my socks, but not use them as socks?  Sock Monkey!!

There you have it.  Another random birdwalk of the brain that happened to end in a sock monkey today.

you have some mad monkey making skills – I love long striped socks myself, so I can imagine the initial trepidation!

You’re so cute and so talented! Love this. Did you have a pattern for it or did you just wing it? Annie is lucky to have such a creative mommy!

I can in no way take credit for the actually design. All you need is a pair of socks and this website. I don’t even have a sewing machine so I made it by hand last night really quick.
http://www.craftbits.com/project/sock-monkey helped me out with that!

How in the world did you do that without a sewing machine?? You have mad patience to do that by hand! Missed you this week, can’t wait to get back chatting. Will call tomorrow!
