Spin, Twirl and Dip
What girl hasn’t wanted to be a princess at one time in her life? I think I had that thought for a little to longer than most. I attribute that to a mom who did pagentry(My dress-up closet was ridiculously huge!) as well as me being a fan of Grace Kelly. That though…is neither here nor there.
Anyway, my sister sent one of my wedding dress slips back this week. After getting it in the mail, Annie got a hold of it and made it her own. She insisted that I pick her up and dance with her while serenading her with, “Once Upon a Dream.”(Boy is the lucky guy waiting for her going to have his arms full). I couldn’t help indulging her considering my dad let me stand on his feet countless times when I was a child dancing me around the piano room or kitchen. Annie, I hope you always dance.

In a Moment…
Do you ever have those moments during the day where your mind begins to wander? …Random memories from years ago pop into your mind just long enough for you to give a little nod and a smile, acknowledging that they really happened and then they’re gone. Sometimes I seize those memories as they come and let my brain dance around the details. I experienced one of those fleeting thoughts today that swept me back to the first home Will and I shared. This fun Victorian was our home for the first couple of years of our life together. Hudson’s 1st room was actually located in those two arching windows to the right of the top, smaller balcony. I think about all of the memories we have from this house and they make me laugh, cry, but mostly smile. For those of you who haven’t seen the inside, the right bottom bay window actually had a huge 4 foot crystal chandelier that hides behind it accompanied by this great green marble fireplace with a wooden mantle. The turret on the left is actually a three story spiral staircase(We filled the entire thing with fog one Halloween. That same Halloween we had two couples on blind dates show up to pay $8 admission into our “Haunted House.” We told them we lived there; to keep the money and they could get a tour for free, but unfortunately; there was nothing haunted about it). It’s actually a historic landmark in Provo, built in the late 1800s-turn of the century for the mayor of Provo. It was a wonderful little house where we made some great friends and great memories.

And This Little Piggy…
They’re gone! Annie pulled her piggies out for the last time a couple of days ago. I told her if she pulled her piggies out again I would get her hair cut. She looked at me, screamed and then pulled her piggies out. I had to make good on my threat. Regardless of the situation, I’m happy with the result and Annie doesn’t seem to miss her piggies.

Just One of Those Days
Interpret it how you may. We just had one of those days!
