Not Quite the Cupboard Under the Stairs
I walked up the stairs during quiet time and this sight met my eyes. All of my duvets, sheets, most towels and blankets were strewn about, but these two cuties were tucked away snugly. I’m thinking my linen closet is just really appealing. I didn’t have the heart to be upset. I had one of those fleeting thoughts of, “I used to do that…and if I was still that small, you might still find me there.”
They had a fun afternoon playing and afterward, I explained that the next time they chose to play in the linen closet they need to make neat piles of everything they take out. After all, there is no point in deluding myself into thinking they will never try to play in there again, right?! I think I’ll just embrace the inevitable for now.

I’m trying to change my perspective, and realize that I can’t control all the happenings at my house with a two year old and a 3 monther. I just got to try and see things through their eyes, and embrace their needs and creativity. You’re awesome Jess!
