Early Out for Good Behavior!
Annie’s two year old self seems to have popped into our lives a few weeks early. Surprise, Surprise! Somewhere, someone flicked the tantrum switch and I’m pretty sure she must have come hardwired to throw some pretty intense ones. We’re trying to curb this habit quick. We don’t do tantrums!! Either way, time out has begun with her too. This is her sad little time-out face. She has learned the drill well already. We tell her to go to time-out and she drops her head, sulking to the entry steps where she sits and usually decides to flop over to rub her head on the ground. A few seconds later she’ll say, “Mommy, talk?” She knows that at the end of her 60 seconds of time-out she and I sit and talk about why she is there. In hopes of speeding up the process she now asks to talk a few seconds after she gets there. Smart cookie. Talking to Mom early = 15 seconds in time-out.

Don’t let the face fool you. She isn’t there that often. Our sweet little Annie is usually looking like this instead!

That is really cute…We’re getting there with Paige, and she is only 17 months. I’m scared what beast will come out at 2.
