I’m an Aunt!!

Posted under family 2 Comments

I married into being an aunt when I got Will.  I love being an aunt.  I just wish I could spoil all of my nieces and nephews more.  I believe the count is 15 on Will’s side.  On January 26th at  6:40 P.M.  I got my first nephew on my side.  I can’t remember the last time I was this excited.  I practically started crying when I found out.  I didn’t even cry when my own kids were born.  My mom assures me it was because I was too tired to cry:)  There is just something amazing with Heidi having a baby of her own.  I guess it must be a sister thing.  Knowing that we have both been through similar situations and now get to belong to “The Club” – together.  Her cute little Colson (Sorry, I’m going to call him Cole) weighs in at a 5lbs. 3 oz. and is 18.5  inches long.

I laughed a little when her husband texted me saying her water broke at 2:30 in the morning.  The previous day she had called me asking what she should pack in her hospital bag – just in case.  She wasn’t due until February 15th.  We had an incredibly long conversation about child birth and all the fun that follows.

Run, Hudson, Run!

Posted under Hudson 3 Comments

Hudson had his first game on Saturday.  The spacey mom that I am, I didn’t realize until we got to the game that I forgot to put his soccer socks on.  I kept looking at him trying to figure out why he looked funny to me.  He didn’t care so I guess I’m saved this time.  Thank goodness he doesn’t play football.  Sorry Hudson, I forgot your pads and helmet.  Good luck.  I’ll pray that no one hits you too hard.  My goal…next week be less spacey.

He played with one of his little buddies.  He seemed to be having lots of fun.

We are thinking his coach told him to be tough when it was his turn to be goalie because he started growling and flexing his muscles at people who would come near him.  Too bad we couldn’t get a picture of the flexing.

We are also very happy that he is so supportive of him team, even if it means skipping.
